Ribbon-shaped pasta. It is flat and wide, usually about 2 cm in width, with wavy edges on both sides. Traditional to the Naples region, this pasta was named after Princess Mafalda of Savoy. This pasta is thicker compared to the other pastas ideal with any tomato or creamed based sauce.
